Re: possible opening of school to more pupils in June
You are likely to have seen in the news that schools may open more widely from 1 June to nursery, reception, year 1 and year 6 pupils if the government thinks it is safe then.
Since the announcement we have been receiving further guidance and clarification from the government and will continue to do so for some weeks. We are still finalising our action plan for our phased return of eligible pupils from the beginning of the term on 8th June.
Thank you to all parents who have replied to our questionnaires, texts and phone calls.
Vulnerable pupils/key worker families
We can confirm school will open on Wednesday 10th June for this group only. You will receive a letter shortly with further details.
Nursery, Reception, Y1 & Y6 families
We are still finalising plans for these year groups. Once completed you will receive a letter detailing how your child can return to school.
It is a very unsettling time for us all, but rest assured that we are going to be doing everything we can to make sure we are ready to receive eligible children if it is safe to do so in the coming weeks.
We would like to thank you for your continuous support in helping your child learn from home. We’ll need to keep going with this for a while yet, so please do continue to do as much as you can and stay in touch with us about how your child is doing.
If you have any questions, could you please email us at email@example.com.
